Privacy Policy — Snake ID

Snake ID ("the App") is operated by Vladimir Lukashov ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the App handles your information. The App has no accounts and no login, and we do not collect your name, email, contacts, or location, and use no advertising or cross-app tracking of any kind.

Photos you submit

• To identify a snake, the App sends the photo you choose to our identification service at api.snakeid.vovaluka.com, which forwards it to a third-party AI vision provider (OpenAI, accessed via the Vercel AI Gateway) solely to generate the identification returned to you.
• We do not store your photos on our servers, and we do not attach your name or identity to them. Our AI provider processes the image transiently under its API terms and does not use it to train its models.
• Photos are sent only when you actively choose a photo and request an identification. The App does not access your photo library in the background.

Technical data

To protect the service from abuse, our server temporarily processes the network request's IP address for rate-limiting. It is not used to identify you and is not sold or shared for advertising.

Purchases

The App offers an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To validate purchases the App uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous purchase receipt and a random identifier — never your identity. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Children

The App is not directed to children and collects no personal data.
